Take Advantage of your Beauty Trial Time
Debra Hoefl is the founder of Beauty by Creative at Heart, a company that provides on location hair and makeup services for primarily weddings. Despite their beautiful wedding packages, they also provide services for formals, photo shoots and editorials. Your Sparkling Event loves working with Deb and her staff so we wanted to showcase a bit more about them. In order to find out more about what goes into the nitty gritty of presenting a beautiful bride and their tribe on a special day, we went right to the expert and asked a few questions.
A big question brides have for their hair and makeup specialists are about trial appointments to see what looks good and what might look even better. Deb said, "I always recommend at least one trial before the day of the wedding. This allows for the bride to get to know her artists in order to develop trust and a relationship with them, as well as create a personal comfort and confidence knowing they are going to look stunning the day of."
We then asked her about any hurdles that her team may face on a wedding day. Deb said, “We are fortunate that we don’t run into many stressful situations while pampering everyone. However, the biggest challenge we sometimes face is when someone in our chair isn’t focused on themselves during their time to relax and get pampered. Keeping to the schedule is very important for a bride and it can be hard to sit in one place for about an hour without having interruptions."
Deb’s favorite focus of a face of makeup is the 'eyes.' She LOVES every opportunity to play up everyone’s eyes and really make them pop! "I more importantly love watching our team craft amazing and unique hairstyles for each bride. I really believe that everyone is beautiful and beautifully different, so each of our clients are allotted the same amount of time and effort to design the most perfect hair and makeup styles for each individual woman."
The last thing we wanted to touch on with Deb, was if she had any advice for brides regarding their hair and makeup for their wedding. Her biggest 'beauty tip' is "to be completely honest with your artist or stylist during your trial for exactly what you want and expect. Always be very honest and open to different possibilities. The number one focus should be YOU and we want everything to be as perfect as you envision it to be!” Beauty stylists and artists should always take the time to listen and do whatever it takes to make sure you are fully confident and comfortable about your day-of-beauty.
