Managing COVID-19 During Wedding Season
As the COVID-19 outbreak causes businesses to slow down, it has also taken a major toll on the event industry. Many events, including weddings, have been postponed or canceled due to the limit on social gatherings and restrictions on travel. Wedding planners, event venues, caterers, photographers, and other event-based businesses are compelled to re-evaluate their approach as this is peak season.
The wedding season typically runs from November to May, so unfortunately, our March and April weddings have been either rescheduled to Fall 2020, early 2021, or canceled. As we are speaking to vendors, many have confirmed that the majority of events are being canceled or postponed as well. This has had a huge impact on the industry as a whole. Bride's and groom's are also being affected since they may lose payments when changing their wedding dates.
At Your Sparkling Event, we are trying our best to work with both the vendors and clients as circumstances change. As soon as we learn that a wedding or event will be rescheduled, we work actively in communicating with all parties involved to re-coordinate all of the details while moving forward. Fortunately, the vendors have been extremely accommodating and have worked with us to find new dates or have provided a credit for a new date in the future. We are extremely grateful for all of our current clients and extra thankful for all of the amazing venues and vendors whom have worked so hard with us in adjusting everything!
We encourage our clients to prepare and be prepared with a realistic backup plan should the current circumstances remain in effect. We can’t wait to see all of our beautiful, smiling brides and their stunning squads again soon! This is an unfortunate situation all around and our hearts go out to our vendor teams and to the entire event industry. We should all try to continue supporting one another, working together, remaining positive and hopeful, while taking this one day at a time. We are here for you, feel for you and support each and every one of you. Stay healthy and safe!
